News and Announcements

  • The Colorado Department of Education will soon be accepting nominations and applications for Youth Advisors (ages 14-19) to the Colorado Academic Standards revision process for 2024-26.  Applications open on June 1, 2024 and close at 11:59 PM on August 1, 2024. Nominators should notify nominees using this template, which includes a link to the application.  Nominees will need to complete the application.  Youth advisors to the standards review process serve a two-year term or until the standards revision cycle is complete, whichever comes first. They may serve more than one term. A commitment and active participation are critical. The majority of the standards revision committee work is projected to occur between February 1 and July 15, 2025, and again between November 2025 and January 2026.  Please note that revision schedules may change.

  • The Colorado General Assembly passed House Bill 23-1231, "Improving Mathematics Outcomes in Kindergarten Through Twelfth Grade Education," in April 2023.
