Dear Families of Exceptional Students,
As the Board of Cooperative Educational Services for our three member school districts, Cripple Creek-Victor, Manitou Springs, and Woodland Park, we collaboratively administer the Special and Gifted Education Programs. This page has been developed to address the educational services of students with exceptional needs during the school closures due to COVID-19. Our students’ and staff’s health and safety are of utmost priority.

Beginning March 23, 2020 schools have been prohibited from providing in-person learning until April 17, 2020. Each of our school districts have already closed to in- person learning as of March 16, 2020, and have developed remote learning for all students. There are district links within this page to each district’s plans for Remote Learning.

Students with exceptional needs (Special and Gifted Education) will continue to be offered services according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs). Your child’s teacher will be in contact with you to set up those services remotely. We will also continue to hold IEP and ALP meetings remotely.
Thank you for your patience and support during this difficult time as we all adjust to Remote Learning, as well as the other impacts on our daily lives. Please feel free to contact me if you need further information.
